Each of us has a unique past, but we share a common future because of God’s love, which is manifested in Jesus, His Son and our Savior.  With the help of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, we are to continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of His name. We are to love and serve people like Jesus did – acting as the body of Christ.  By doing those two things, we honor the Great Commands as spoken by Jesus, “Love God with all your heart, soul, and strength, and your neighbor as yourself.” Every other part of God’s Word is built on those two statements.
